art

I’ve been creating art my whole life—drawing, sculpture, painting, jewelry and wire work, stationery, printmaking, and ceramics. Creating art has helped shape my UX and product design process.

I started making comic strip-style renditions of Shakespeare plays in high school as a way to understand the story better, and bring more modern humor to the drama. I found this to be a fun medium of storytelling, and have incorporated it into my work as a designer.

printmaking

stenciled monoprint, etching, woodblock, chine-collé/collage

Patterns have always fascinated me and driven my work, and printmaking has afforded me the freedom to explore ways of iterating a motif or visual theme.

This body of work stemmed from my experiences living and working in Bangalore, India in the summer of 2015. India’s rich cultural diversity afforded me an abundance of visual and stylistic inspiration, from traditional clothing to architecture.
